I had been thinking about rebranding for almost 2 years but wasn’t sure where to start. All my work had been shown under a company name rather than my own name. This had made my work difficult for people to find when searching online. I needed to rebrand under my own name. I had been following Matt @edgeofthemap for a while and noticed that he is not only an innovative artist but a great graphic designer as well. I messaged him and asked if he would consider providing consultation and support for my rebranding. As a visual artist, it was very important to me to have branding that was an immediately recognizable, reflection of me and my work.
Matt was brilliant. He looked at my work, reviewed my writing as well as my images and worked very collaboratively to develop a branding pack for me. This included logo design in various forms so I can use them everywhere, from my website to business cards and watermarks for my images. He also provided a colour scheme to tie everything together. It’s brilliant and the feedback via social media, business groups, customers and friends has been extremely positive stating what a good fit it is for me and my business.
Making art is a very personal occupation. Ones passions and heart are open – to both praise and criticism. It may sound strange, but having all this in place has given me confidence to rebuild my website and put a marketing strategy in place, ready to engage much more actively to promote my work.

We needed to get some new imagery for our surf school website and after seeing Matt's original and inspiring work on Instagram, realised we had found the man for the job. From first communications Matt was clear and easy to work with and on the day really impressed. Matt has a friendly but professional approach and a strong work ethic and in the session we had with him managed to produce over a hundred excellent images which we have used in print media, social media, and of course on our own website. Matt has an innate ability to find and capture something fascinating in a scene and his photos have a timeless beauty which we were really keen to have associated with our surf school! What can I say? Amazing help from Matt on a logo design I needed for a new venture in Newquay, a Christmas Market. Matt worked very closely with me in helping the design process from beginning to end, he sent many samples over to me and made sure I was completely satisfied with the final choice.
